Gill on an ancient capital

Bust of Michelangelo
Olivia
On a crowded train from London, Gill reads the Guardian. And so does the rather stoned bloke behind her.
I ‘keep’ sketchbooks – that means, I draw in them when I make myself, instead of every day… They’re a constant reproach to me, with a high guilt-factor built in. (See Sketchbooks: Love ’em! Hate ’em! blog post). I suppose they’re more drawing books really. Well, that’s my excuse.
Some are drawn with a Pilot Parallel pen (2.4mm wide calligraphy nib), some with a Pentel brush pen, others with a fibre tip. Occasionally a very soft pencil. Watch this space… (There’s more sketchbook stuff at http://michaelmunday.wordpress.com/sketchbook/)
Drawing a portrait of a woman drawing a portrait, watched by the portraits at the National Portrait Gallery – with a Pentel Brush Pen.
